"Junk collects aluminium cans, corrugated and stiff cardboard, glass, plastic type 1, 2 & 5, e-waste, car & small batteries, and HP inkjet & LaserJet printer cartridges and taken to the Junk Recycling compound where the recyclables are rechecked. Any item that cannot be recycled, or is contaminated, is removed. We are partnered with the Department of Environmental Health, delivering clean, separated, recyclables, to the George Town landfill Recycle Centre, that are crushed, baled, put into containers and shipped to waste management partners overseas, thus diverting dry goods waste from the landfill".
